In my nursing career, I plan to continually seek out knowledge and fulfill my destiny as a life-long learner. This includes using the latest evidence based practices in my future nursing role(s). In order to mitigate systemic injustices and health disparities, I will make sure to stay informed about the latest social services to help those in need, I find myself focusing on transportation injustices where areas with lower incomes or more people of color tend to have more of reliance on cars ( less transit and walkability) while the burden of car ownership weighs more on their shoulders. As a bilingual health care professional I feel it is imperitive that there are adequate translators whether it be virtual or in person to give the highest quality of care possible to people, no matter their background.
